Full Cortical Coverage Each of the Magnes Neuro systems provides dense, complete coverage of the areas of interest. For the brain, the 2500 WH provides 148 detectors around the brain for full coverage. For the most demanding applications, the 3600 WH adds an additional 100 detectors for even denser coverage of the brain. The 1300 C sensor provides over 60 detectors covering an area over 30 cm in diameter which is excellent for cardiac, gut, spine, and fetal MCG or MEG measurements. Magnetometer Detectors With inherently higher sensitivity than gradiometer configurations, magnetometers allow the measurement of sources deep within the brain or body, and make possible the measurement of children and patients with small heads. 4-D's proprietary noise reduction system, featuring reference gradiometers and advanced algorithms, ensures reliable operation of this novel configuration, at full sensitivity, even in the midst of urban environments. |

Fast Change Seated to Supine Recording Unique, proprietary design of the Magnes 2500 WH and 3600 WH sensors enables patients to be measured in any position between fully seated and fully supine, while a single adjustable bed allows for maximum patient comfort. Supine measurements are ideally suited for studies in which patients are sedated or in which natural sleep is encouraged, while seated measurements are often preferred for studies in which cognitive tasks are performed. 4-D's proprietary Coils-In-Vacuum technology keeps the system performance stable when changing between positions. Coils-in-Vacuum Technology The positioning flexibility of the Magnes series is made possible by the patented CIV technology. The added advantage of CIV is the isolation of the magnetometer sensor coils and SQUIDS from the liquid helium reservoir, which reduces maintenance and prolongs the life of the system. |

High Data Acquisition Rates Data Acquisition up to 8 kHz. High Accuracy Head Position Measurement The head locating system utilizes between 5 and 16 special coils, placed on the patient's head, to measure the position of the head relative to the sensor array for superb accuracy. An integrated head monitoring system detects movement of the patient's head during data acquisition. Unobtrusive Ceiling Mounted Gantry The sensor is suspended in an easy to use ceiling mounted gantry that provides full access to the patient and the entire interior of the magnetically shielded room (MSR), and allows rapid conversion between seated and supine recording positions. |

Patient Data Management A controlled patient database provides security and traceability of data processing for each patient. Efficient Software Design Magnes software is designed with both the clinical and research user in mind. The Magnes software facilitates the processing of multiple patients per day while still providing the flexibility and extensibility needed for the researcher pursuing their own ideas. MEG has excellent spatial resolution. Sources can be localized with millimeter precision. Integration with Surgical Systems Magnes software provides DICOM compliant output that allows the user to provide data ready for surgeons to evaluate in their surgical operating systems. |
